This one was a real surprise, and I very much enjoy it. I bought the bottle because of a video I saw on Youtube, and while it is not the "Aventus killer" everyone wants it to be, it is definitely very similar and very much worth buying and wearing for what it brings to the table on its own.

If you smell this on one wrist and Aventus on the other, Aventus wins, and you can smell the quality difference. But is that quality difference and scent difference worth $300 more? Not in my book. Not for a second. The difference is minimal, and, I believe, primarily comes from the use of ambergris on the part of Creed.

I wear this when I want to take a break from the colognes I created for myself. I am told by several people that the cologne I created for myself is better than this, but I would not hesitate to wear this in a heartbeat if I wasn't wearing one of my own.

This is one of the very few scents in my collection that I did not create, which still sees use. For what this costs, it's hands down a winner. Whether or not it fails to be the Aventus killer everyone wanted it to be.

I stumbled across this fragrance when I ordered the Cuba 4-pack sampler (also available from Amazon)... this was my favorite one in the sampler pack. I love this warm, unique and exotic fragrance, it is great for casual wear or to the office. I do a lot of face-to-face customer interaction and this scent is great because it is light and not overpowering with that musky smell so common in men's fragrances. I receive many compliments on it from women and I've had a few men ask what the fragrance is because they are impressed by it.
I purchased some of these sets for gifts and even though they are inexpensive, they are visually impressive in the little wooden bucket. If you are looking to buy a gift for that man who has everything and enjoys wearing different fragrances, you've found what you're looking for, my friend.

... And get ready for the ladies to chase you. Upon first spray it is smooth, clean and a little fruity... But in a manly way. The mint kicks up in the middle but the dry down. Oh, dat dry down is phenomenal. It is like a sweet mint with a touch of moss and vanilla. It's the only way I can describe.

Projection is ok on my skin. Not too forward which I like. Longevity I'm getting 6-8 hrs. Not bad.

I would recommend this for any season. Spring and fall would be ideal in my mind. I think any age group could wear it but I would picture this for the 24-35 crowd. Youthful but mature and confident. This would do well in a business meeting. A young professional could pull this off in the healthcare setting (if permitted). It could also be worn casually but not spicy enough to be a night time scent in my opinion. I would NOT recommend this to someone who likes their colognes more powdery, spicy, unique and in your face. Dior L'homme comes to mind when I describe that. This is most definitely not that. This is a sweeter scent. If that's not your thing then there's nothing to see here.
